Join us on a guided kayak tour to explore Deer Island (Isla Venados), the largest of Mazatlan's beautiful and secluded coastal islands. Rich in the diversity of its plant and bird life, the island is part of a reserve network that includes all the islands in the Sea of Cortez, declared by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.

Sendero Mexico has the required federal permits to access the island where our qualified bilingual guides will take you kayaking and to explore the beautiful coastline and rock formations.

Sailing in classic schooner, qualified bilingual guides, a base camp at Deer Island Nature Preserve, instruction, kayaking around the protected side of the island, hiking on the island trails to spectacular views and optional snorkeling. Personal floatation devices, dry bags for your camera and a selection of seasonal fruit, sandwiches, non-alcoholic beverages are also included.

What To Bring

Swimming gear, towel, hat and sunblock as well as comfortable shoes for walking the trails to the top of the island and extra cash for tips.
