Sierra Madre Foothills Birding Tour

Join us on a personalized guided birding tour into
the tropical dry thorn forest typical of the area surrounding Mazatlan.
At sunrise, travelling in a air-conditioned vehicle, we leave the coastal
area characterized by coastal mangrove lagoons and head into the tropical
deciduous forest. This type of forest is home to a rich diversity of plants
and animals and it is here that it is possible to see many endemic
species of birds such as the Black-throated Magpie Jay, Purplish-backed
Jay, Sinaloa Crow, Citroline Trogon, Rufous-bellied Chachalaca, Sinaloa
Wren and the Sinaloa Martin. In addition, we will have the opportunity
to see the Lineated and Golden-cheeked Woodpeckers, Squirrel
Cuckoo,
Varied, Painted and Blue Buntings plus a variety of Warblers and many
other birds.
After a morning of birding we will stop for a
delicious lunch
